Sometimes, a person’s love for you can stop you from achieving or getting to your place of destiny if you are not conscious and especially when the person’s intentions or actions is all pointing to your good.
Here’s what I mean;
The incidence between Jesus and Peter in Mark 8:31-33 is a good case in point.
Then Jesus began to tell them that the Son of Man must suffer many terrible things and be rejected by the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but three days later he would rise from the dead.
As he talked about this openly with his disciples, Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things.
Jesus turned around and looked at his disciples, then reprimanded Peter. Get away from me, Satan!he said. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.
Imagine if Peter had succeeded in stopping Jesus from being persecuted and eventually getting killed.
But Jesus knew what His purpose was and where He was going and thus He immediately rebuked Peter and told him he was seeing things from human perspective and not from God’s.
Peter’s love for Jesus was so much that he cut off the right ear of one of the guards that came to arrest Jesus and Peter must have thought he was doing the right thing.
The thing is that everyone can not understand your purpose or destiny.
The road to success and place of destiny is not always smooth.
Sometimes you need to absorb pressure before you can be treasured.
Sometimes you need to pass through pain in order to experience comfort.
If you are not heedful you might not get there.
Be mindful of those who think they are helping you but unknowing to them they are doing you more harm than good.
Beware of those who love you too much to allow you get to your place of destiny.
Many thanks for stopping by, until next time….
I hope you had a great weekend and may the peace of God which reassures the heart always be yours.
Danny
Thanks for the perspective. We should not be too protective of those we love.

Thank you so much Danny for the post. We also do have to be careful in loving people too much as we are with the ones that love us. There’s comfort with being in one place, but growth never happens in comfort zones.
God bless you too!

Very true…in our dealings with people, we need clarity. Clarity of purpose, personal and collective to avoid being tossed to and fro or defrayed from our purpose. Peter didn’t know he was speaking against Jesus’ purpose. In general parlance, he spoke with the best intentions…but against the will of God for Jesus.
