The Power of Sound Mind

The mind is one of the most important part of the human body. It controls the entire system by sending signals to every other parts of the body. You can call the mind the ( C.P.U ) it is the seat of faculty of reason. A sound mind is a mind that’s healthy, free and functioning properly. It’s a mind full of love and power.

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Proverbs 23:7 KJV

A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8 KJVA

For you to think well you need to have a sound mind. This is how the bible puts it; The heart is deceitful above all things And it is extremely sick; Who can understand it fully and know its secret motives? JEREMIAH 17:9 AMP

The devil is constantly contending for our mind with God. Before The devil captures any man he first manipulates and corrupt the mind. How then can one have a sound mind?

  • For the mind not to get corrupt it needs to be sound and the only way to ensure this is by feeding it constantly with God’s word and keep it with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
  • Avoid negative people, places, musics, websites, news, and anything that make you feel bad and negative. Stay busy by doing something productive no matter how small it may seem don’t stay idle. Focusing on negativity doesn’t take you to a good place, it only takes you down.
  • Become happy when you see people are happy and successful. By doing so, you attract their happiness and success and the same good things will happen in your life too.

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. ROMANS 12:2 AMP

Our thoughts are very powerful and will eventually determine the kind of future we will experience.

Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. PHILIPPIANS 4:8 AMP

  1. I was known as Happy Annie dynaxty and yes I was invited to many Parties,they loved my Jokes, I was also successful at my Job but I was very unhappy, so many wear a mask today afraid to be real in case they will be rejected.

    There is a saying “Laugh and the World Laughs with you cry and you cry alone” but Jesus tells us to come to Him when our load is too heavy to carry and He will give us rest, (Matthew 11:28 – 30) we don’t have to be Happy Clappy we can be real and not wear a mask when we are hurting, there is a time to laugh and a time to cry, a time to dance, a time to sing etc

    We are to be Jesus , Arms, Hands, Feet and Voice in the Hurting World and Comfort others when needed as confirmed below in Scripture, perhaps one day we too will need to be comforted.

    Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

    Romans 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

    2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Blessed be God even The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Father of mercies and The God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

    • I totally agree with you Annie, we need to be real and true to ourselves first before we can comfort others. The bible made it clear that a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
